Rebecca Wild-Wesley, BSN, MA, RN, CMC, is President of ALCA™ New England. Rebecca is a gerontologist and nurse care manager based in Hopedale, MA. Her company, The Aging Space Inc.™ opened in 2013. She has been a member of ALCA since 2013, and has served on the Board as Secretary, Vice President and currently President.
Joan Harris, MBA, LSW, CMC, Joan started her career in elder care 32 years ago after graduating from Boston College, as a Case Manager for a state funded Home Care Agency. This fundamental experience and training in case work and protective services ignited her lifelong passion for working to benefit the lives of older adults and their families. Joan also has special interest in working with middle aged adults who have complex life issues. Her experience as a discharge planner in a hospital, marketing sub-acute services in a skilled nursing facility and marketing retirement and assisted living all led to developing her skills and knowledge. The past 10 years Joan has worked as an Aging Life Care Professional for Jewish Family Service of Metrowest, for six years for Jewish Family & Children’s Service, Your Elder Experts, and for two years for LivHome, a professionally led private home care agency. Currently, Joan is the president of Symphony Care Management, LLC. A full-service Care Management and Life Care Planning Company. She has been a member of ALCA since 2013 as an Advanced Professional.
Emily Grossman, MSW, CMC, is our chapter Treasurer. She works for LifeCare Advocates. Emily has worked for 14+ years in both community and facility settings in Boston and the surrounding area. Her experience includes CJP Task Force on Jewish Aging, EOEA of Massachusetts in care management training, and in the field of home care.
Susan Lewin, LICSW, CMC, FCM, is the immediate Past President of ALCA™ NE. Susan has been working with seniors and their families in the Boston and surrounding towns for over 25 years and as co-owner of Generations, All About Elders in Brookline MA for the past 20. Her experience on our board includes Public Relations, President, VP, Conference Co-Chair, Membership, and various other committees. She is now co-chair of the Resource Directory with Annemarie Miner.
Michael J. Novack, LICSW, C-ASWCM, serves on both the Technology and Public Relations committees for ALCA NE. He works for LifeCare Advocates, based in Newton MA. Michael brings 19 years of experience working with elders living in the community, long-term care and assisted living facilities. His professional credentials include NASW, former President of the BU School of SW Alumni Association and ALCA. Michael has participated on several Conference Committees for our chapter.
Joan Garbow, LCSW, CCM, is co-chair of our Membership Committee, along with Carolyn Brennan-Alley. Joan has over 25 years of professional social work experience in homecare, acute care, family services, and rehabilitation. Currently in private practice, Joan is the owner of Joan Garbow and Associates and works with clients throughout Fairfield County, CT.
Carolyn Brennan-Alley, LICSW,CMC, is the co-chair of Membership with Joan Garbow. She is a solo practitioner in Bucksport, Maine. Working as a social worker since 1985, Carolyn is a member of NASW, and ALCA. She founded Brennan-Alley and Associates in 2006. Carolyn served on the Board of Directors for Hospice of Hancock County and Volunteers with numerous community organizations.
Annemarie Miner, MA, CMC, is ALCA NE secretary and is co-chairing our chapter’s Resource Directory with Sue Lewin. Annemarie is co-owner of Elder Care Connections in Vermont since 2011. She has spent over 20 years in the healthcare industry helping and supporting elders and their families. She also works with her local Area Agency on Aging and in home care.
Marie Leblanc, BA, MBA, is chair of Public Relations and co-chairs Technology with Michael Novack. Marie is owner of Transitions Liquidation Services in MA, a senior move management and downsizing specialist. Marie operates out of greater Boston and Cape/Islands. She has been a Corporate Member of ALCA NE for 15 years and has served on numerous committees for over 10 years.
Sandy DeLuca, BSN, RN, is a new member of our Board and looks forward to working for ALCA NE. She is the Clinical Team Leader and a Care Manager for Overlook, CARE. She brings 9 years of experience as a CM and practices mainly on the South Shore of MA.
Frank Baskin, MS, CCM, PhD, has chaired our Public Policy for many years. Frank keeps the Board current on both National and local issues as it relates to our clients and communities. Frank practices out of Lowell, MA.
Harriet Lazarus, MSW, LICSW, C-ASWCM, is our Program chair. Harriet has been a member of ALCA NE since 2013. Since 2011, Harriet has worked at Your Elder Experts in Waltham MA. In the past, she worked in acute care, mental health and rehab. She is a trained mediator as well as a care manager.
